The old rescued lion can still make friends after being caged.
His love for tiny squirrels comes as a surprise even to his guardians. But at the end of the day, the animal kingdom never stops to amaze when it comes to unlikely companionships.
Sadly, Guerrero, the Lion, has had a long history. The massive feral cat has spent his entire life in a private zoopark located in Mexico. He had to spend his days alone in tiny cages.

An incredibly difficult life that affected him “mentally” and physically.
Luckily, the regional animal welfare organization detected him in time. Shortly after his salvation, these free wills turned to a wildlife sanctuary in Colorado for assistance.
The kind-hearted people were more than happy to assist, so Guerrero was flown to the United States where he received the medical attention he needed.
Then the saved lion was taken to the reserve, where he finally got an opportunity to live in peace. He rapidly adapted to his new home and is already making new companions here.
Even though his unhappy past left deep wounds in his soul, the tender giant still has the strength to pour out the love around him.
Not so long ago, Guerrero surprised his keepers with the generosity he showed a tiny creature that visited his booth. Cameras captured a giant lion sharing a thrilling moment with a squirrel.

Moreover, Guerrero was thrilled to share his food with the younger patrons. A pleasant companionship will be born.
“It turns out Guerrero’s 13-striped squirrel are companions, Guerrero is good with the tiny being who shares his food,” the shelter posted on Facebook.
“Every day after eating, Guerrero likes to eat whipped cream. The 2squirrel decided that he loves whipped cream no less. It was a sight that we see more and more frequently.
“They have such a cute bond.”
